Give buyers enough information to decide

Use your own photographs of the actual item, including labels, accessories and visible faults. State the condition honestly and explain what has and has not been tested. Include dimensions or model details when relevant. Keep an exact home address, banking information and identity documents out of a public listing. Your general area helps buyers assess fulfilment without exposing your private collection address.

Understand your seller amount

For a fixed-price listing, enter the amount you want for the item. A 20% platform markup is added above it. Entering R500 produces a displayed buyer item price of R600; delivery remains separate. This is a markup on your amount, not a deduction of 20% from the buyer price. Review the preview before submitting. Legacy transactions retain their recorded pricing model.

Auctions do not need an existing catalogue listing

The auction form accepts a standalone item with photographs, a description, category, condition and seller area. Set a starting seller amount, minimum increment and closing time. An optional reserve represents the minimum acceptable seller amount. Moderation is required before an auction becomes live. A pending auction is not open for bids. You cannot bid on your own item.

Know what a bid means

Buyers bid a displayed item amount that includes the platform markup. Delivery is additional. Bids must meet the current minimum. You may retract your bids before the displayed closing time using the auction page; this removes your earlier offers on that item as well. Review the auction terms and condition disclosures before bidding. Once the auction closes, contact support about any sale problem. A bid near the close can extend the closing time under the displayed anti-sniping rule. Reserve and closing rules determine whether there is a winner. A highest bid is not evidence of payment.

After the auction closes

A qualifying winner receives a time-limited checkout opportunity. Only the winning bidder can continue to checkout for that item. Seller verification and a supported delivery quote are still required. Real payment confirmation is required before collection. Do not hand over an item on the strength of a chat message, payment screenshot or highest-bid label. Unsold or expired outcomes remain visible to you so you can make a new, deliberate listing decision.
